New Hampshire’s Conservation Districts are celebrating their 75th anniversaries in 2020-21. Since their establishment in 1945-46, each of the state’s ten Conservation Districts have worked to conserve the natural resources and cultural heritages of their respective counties.
Starting in the spring of 2021, Merrimack County Conservation District is producing a monthly podcast aimed at expanding our state’s understanding of its environmental history. We will interview key figures from around the state, past and present, and take listeners on a journey in which they’ll reflect on their own relationship with the environment, highlighting the work of the Conservation Districts along the way.
This program is made possible by a grant from New Hampshire Humanities.
