This picture from 1999 shows RCCD cutting a Christmas tree for residents of the Rockingham County Nursing Home! The tree is from Parker’s Tree Farm where RCCD is the primary easement holder for the conservation easement ensuring the property’s natural resources will be protected in perpetuity. RCCD is the primary easement holder for just over 100 easements protecting approximately 4,600 acres!
RCCD is no longer taking on new conservation easements but can help connect interested landowners with land trusts and funders.
Right now the New Hampshire Association of Conservation Districts, in partnership with the Cheshire County Conservation District is accepting proposals from land trusts who seek funding to work with NH farms to conserve their land and improve the viability of their farm business.
