Sullivan County Conservation District has been holding an annual spring plant sale since 1992. Trout sales were held in the spring and fall as far back as the 1980s. Our current plant sale is not only a fundraiser, but also a service to landowners and one way we conserve natural resources and support local agriculture.
Most districts in NH hold plant and seed sales either in spring, fall or both times of year. Trout sales are also still going on in some districts, though the hay day for fish sales was in the 1980s and 90s after ponds had been installed on many NH farms. Most of the trout still come from Hy On A Hill Trout Farm in Plainfield.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Districts through buying plants, seeds and trout from our annual sales.
